Meet Eric and Family

I am proud to introduce you to my family. From left to right is Rachel, Tyler, Carson, Jennifer, me and Makenna. Our oldest son, Matthew, was not present at the time this photo was taken. This photo captures one of our family’s most exciting vacations and fondest memories to date…our trip to Maui, Hawaii in September, 2010.

I grew up with the same advice that most of my generation received and that was get a good education, get good grades, get a good job and you’ll be set for life. So I followed that advice and graduated with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in 1991. Over the next 11 years, I worked in both the public and private sectors within the civil engineering industry. During that time, I developed a lifestyle for myself that was pretty typical for a civil engineer with a B.S. degree…the house, the family, the cars, the boat, the snowmobiles, the mortgage, the debt, the maxed out credit cards, the 60 hour work weeks, the stress, the worry, the sleepless nights. My “American dream” had turned into a nightmare and the rose-colored glasses that I previously viewed life through shattered…life was no longer fun. Finances were a mess and going backwards every month. My job had become extremely stressful and I dreaded going to work every morning. My family life was deteriorating because I was always cranky and irritable because of finances and work-related stress. My faith life was non-existent, but if you would have asked me about it, I would have said it was just fine. I had no clue about freedom and what our forefathers sacrificed to establish this great country. My friends were all superficial, but even worse, I had no clue how to be a friend back. And with all this going on, my health was starting to be effected. It was at this point in my life that Renee Oettinger introduced me to Orrin Woodward and Chris Brady, the current #7 and #12 Leadership Gurus in the world, respectively. I didn’t realize it at the time, but that was one of the biggest days of my life.

Now, you would think that as bad as my life had become, I would have dove head first into the material and information that Orrin and Chris had put together, but I didn’t. Life had hardened my heart and I was very skeptical and felt that this was “too good to be true”. Fortunately, I didn’t make the decision to pursue this based upon my thinking, but rather Renee’s excitement and belief. I guess I was at least smart enough to know that the bad life I created for myself was because of my past thinking and decisions and I knew that if I wanted different results, I had to get new information so I could make better decisions for my future…and thank God I did…it made all the difference. My friend and co-workers said how this was a scam and a pyramid and I almost let them convince me that they knew what they were talking about. Once again, I leaned on Renee’s excitement and belief and over time learned that all my naysaying friends and co-workers were totally wrong. Since being associated with Orrin and Chris, I have observed saved marriages, retirement parties for 30 year olds, people getting financial free, people finding Christ, people leading others to Christ, people getting freedoms back, developing more true friendships that ever before, better husband and fathers, better wives and mothers, better leaders in all areas of their lives…just plain better people overall. But more importantly, life has become a blast. The best recommendation I can give you is to never take financial advice from someone who has the exact lifestyle your running from, but instead, seek the advice from others that have the lifestyle you desire…only then can you get the right information to change your life. Remember, if people don’t have the lifestyle you are looking for, they don’t have a clue how to get it…so don’t listen to them…even if they are close friends, or family.

I encourage everyone to keep an open mind and check out the LIFE business. It’s okay to be skeptical, but be an open-minded skeptic. Many of the biggest leaders I’ve ever met (Tim Marks, Bill Lewis, Dan Hawkins), started out being open-minded skeptics. The difference is that they took the time to educate themselves with the truth about Orrin Woodward and this industry (not rumor, hearsay, and popular opinion) and in the process learned for themselves that this is the “real deal”.

Your future awaits…have the courage to go get it!!!!

God bless, Eric Blomdahl

I can soo relate to your story Eric,i remember when my rose colored glasses shatterd, felling no hope in my life and thinking what will happen to my family. This business saved my life and helped me see truth. You are a great example of servant leadership and blessed to learn from you and Jen.

What a honor to be able to use you and your story as a leverage point that THEY are not the only person who has some problems in their lives. Object is to become someone who can say, “That is the way it used to be,” but now it ALL BETTER. Thanks Don and Jan Fallis

It’s funny the small threads that end up making some of the biggest impacts in our life. I bless Dan Jeffries constantly for gathering the courage to introduce me to this “business”, and for Chad Sutkay who introduced him, for Tim Samuels who introduced him, and so on…

I was on a bad path in life and had no idea. I was a couch potato raising tater-tots. I could write nearly a book on the way the RIGHT information had hit me and changed my life, relationships, and nearly everything else.

Eric- Thank you for having the courage to make the right difference in people’s lives and sharing your story that so many of us relate to.

    To LIFE!

Hi Eric and Jen, Thanks for all the sacrifices you’ve gone through. You have set the bar high and have laid out a path we can all follow. I agree with all of your statements. Once you “step out of line”, so to speak, and leave the “herd” you quickly find out who are your friends and who are/were really just shallow acquaintances that don’t want you to get a head, because you have a dream and it makes them feel very uncomfortable. Like you say, who cares, if they don’t have the lifestyle you want then don’t listen to them as tough as that sounds, it’s not until you try something like this that most people won’t even try that you see how true it is. Thanks for leading by example. You have done more for Liz and I than any of our family have ever done for us. We love you both. Tom and Liz
